Dreaming of Shepherding our Communities TOGETHER!
Imagine deepening intimacy with God across the city… local congregations becoming houses of prayer… A community of pastors and leaders investing in building authentic friendships, offering persistent prevailing prayer for an outpouring of God’s Spirit, creating Spirit-directed partnerships for the transformation of neighborhoods, education, government and marketplace…. We are better together!
“May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
Jesus - in John 17:23 NIV Global Day of Prayer God did it! This is a quote from Rev. Charles Briscoe, a most beloved 78-year-old African American Pastor and true Father of Kansas City as he commmented on the Global Day of Prayer gathering on Pentecost Sunday, May31. His three words expressed the heart response of numerous pastors, leaders, and people of prayer from around the metro. Something divine and wonderful is happening in Kansas City! Over 2,000 people attended the four Global Day of Prayer gatherings and each reflected the fruit of relationships in the Village Fires. Friendship and trust is deepening in the hearts of pastors and key leaders. Commitment to Shepherding our Communities TOGETHER in John 17 unity is accelerating. The revelation of the power of united prayer is growing with passion and fervency. Entire congregations are embracing the vision to serve communities together to break down all racial and denominational barriers! At each gathering, the Pastors stood before the Lord TOGETHER and asked the people to pray for a release of God’s grace from heaven to walk out the call to unity! This was an especially powerful time of prayer. As the Lord affects each Pastor one by one to lead their congregations outside the walls to work in unity in the community - real transformation begins. |
